At Apex Tubulars, we believe that strong performance is built on solid foundations, whether that’s in business or in the communities we’re part of. That belief is reflected in our continued support for Banchory Amateurs, where our International Sales Manager Ronnie is playing a key role in shaping success both on and off the pitch.

A season to remember
After a challenging start to the league campaign, Banchory Amateurs have shown clear progression as the season has unfolded. The team responded well to early setbacks, building momentum and delivering strong performances across multiple competitions.

March saw the team reach their first cup final of the season, narrowly losing 3-2 to Cowie Thistle in the Premier Trophy. Despite the result, the performance marked an important step forward and underlined the team’s growing competitiveness.

With the season entering its final stages, Banchory remain firmly in contention, with another cup final on the horizon. They will face Cove Thistle on the 1st of May at Balmoral Park, an opportunity to turn progress into a cup victory and finish the season strongly.

A club built on local talent
What makes this success even more meaningful is how it’s been achieved. Banchory Amateurs are committed to building a team around local players, with the vast majority of the squad coming through the Banchory Youth system. In an environment where some clubs invest heavily in signing players, Banchory has taken a different approach, focusing on development, loyalty and community identity. The result is a young, driven squad who understand what it means to represent their hometown.

Investing in the future of local football
Central to the club’s long-term vision is its close relationship with Banchory Youth, which now supports more than 500 boys and girls across the local area. That pathway from youth football into the senior game is being further strengthened through a major new development - the creation of a full-size all-weather pitch, the first of its kind in Deeside.

This investment marks a significant step forward for football in the region, providing a modern, year-round facility that will support training, development and participation for players of all ages. It also helps address long-standing challenges around access, particularly during the winter months, when travel and pitch availability have traditionally been a barrier.

More than just a facility, it represents a long-term commitment to the local community. With hundreds of young players involved in Banchory Youth, the benefits will extend well beyond the game itself, supporting participation, development and opportunity for years to come.

It’s a significant milestone for football in Banchory, reflecting the ambition and commitment driving the club and its wider Deeside community forward.

Supporting the community
Apex Tubulars is proud to play a part in that journey. We have committed to supporting the new facility through sponsorship, including a three-year investment in signage at the pitch.

More broadly, there is a shared ambition to bring together local skills and expertise connected to the club to support its development, strengthening ties between business and community in a practical, meaningful way.

Looking ahead
The North of Scotland Cup final, set to take place at Balmoral Park on the 1st of May, represents a significant moment for the club. It’s not just a chance to win silverware, but a reflection of the progress being made across all levels of the organisation.

For Ronnie, who will address the players ahead of kick-off, it’s a moment that captures everything the club stands for, commitment, community and a shared drive to succeed.

At Apex Tubulars, we’re proud to support initiatives like this that create lasting value on the pitch, and far beyond it.
