Ronnie Grant, International Sales Manager at Apex Tubulars, has been appointed Chairman of Banchory Amateurs Football Club, reinforcing both his long-standing involvement in grassroots football and Apex’s commitment to supporting the local community.
He brings valuable experience to the role, having previously served as Vice Chairman at Keith FC in the Highland League, where he helped drive positive development both on and off the pitch.
Apex Tubulars has been the main sponsor of Banchory Amateurs FC for the past two seasons and has a strong history of supporting football more widely, having previously been the main sponsor of both Keith FC and Aberdeen Football Club.
His appointment aligns with Apex Tubulars’ wider ESG strategy, which focuses on investing in local communities and improving opportunities for people through long-term, meaningful partnerships.
Speaking about his appointment, Ronnie said: “I’ve always been a supporter of local football and with my son playing for this team, it feels even more personal. Football at this level plays an important role in supporting mental health, confidence and wellbeing for players.
“Through Apex’s support and my experience from Keith FC, I want to help create more opportunities, attract new supporters and ensure the club continues to thrive for years to come. The Deeside area has huge potential and has already produced talented players including Andrew Considine and Harry Milne. My aim is to help ensure more young players are given the chance to develop and progress.”
As part of the role, Ronnie will be driving a number of initiatives to help raise funds, increase engagement and strengthen the club’s profile within the local community.
With his appointment and Apex Tubulars’ continued sponsorship, Banchory Amateurs FC enters an exciting new chapter focused on opportunity, sustainability and community impact.
